When it comes to traveling, my routine is to always stop by an American Express Centurion Lounge, if it's available. This past trip from Las Vegas, Nevada's Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) to LAX, I stopped by the AMEX Centurion Lounge and just as I expected, it was relaxing, the food and drinks were good, and I was able to get work done. Keep reading to learn more about my experience at the Vegas Centurion Lounge.
Where It's Located
The American Express LAS Centurion Lounge is located in Concourse D, right across from Terminal A1. To get to this Concource, you'll need to take the airport tram once you get through TSA security.

Check-In
While checking my bag curb-side at American Airlines, I was warned by the AA employee that there was a wait time to enter the lounge but it wasn't bad. Note, you can enter the Centurion Lounge 3 hours before you flight boards.
As soon as I got to the Centurion Lounge in Concourse D, the AMEX rep advised me that they were at full capacity and the wait time was ~10-15 minutes. I was asked to scan a QR code to put my name on the waitlist and then I'd get a text alerting me to enter. The wait ended up being only 10 minutes so, I fell back in line, the rep scanned my QR code, which doubled as proof of my boarding pass, and I showed my AMEX Platinum card for entry.
The Food
Once I found a nice quiet table with a power outlet, I made my way to the food area where breakfast was served. Scrambled eggs, sausage links, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt were offered. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfect, fluffy and there were bits of jalapeno mixed in.
Drinks
Normally, I'd opt for a Bloody Mary or Mimosa, but I didn't want to feel tired as I had an hour drive waiting for me once I hit Los Angeles, CA. I went for a refreshing glass of orange juice, instead. Aside from the bar, coffee, tea, lattes, and water were offered free of charge.
Working Space
This lounge felt similar in size to the LAX location, except I loved how this American Express Centurion Lounge was more spread out and less cramped compared to the lounge at LAX.
Know Before You Go
-To gain entry into the Centurion Lounge, you can sign up for the American Express Platinum card (feel free to use my referral link). You'll get access to 14 U.S. Centurion Lounges and 11 global lounges. Note, there's an annual credit card fee of $695 and you get a welcome bonus of 80k points.
-If you already have an American Express Platinum card and want a guest to enter with you, it will cost $50 to let that one person inside, unless they have their own AMEX Plat card.
-Be respectful of people around you and keep your voice down. (I had to listen to a man on his phone divulging his health issues. Everyone around us was in shock).
-Keep it moving, especially if you're getting food at the buffet area. Don't just stare at the food, be polite and considerate of those behind you.
