Hotel Review: Bluegreen Vacations Club 36 Las Vegas

If you’re looking for a Las Vegas stay that offers more space, practical amenities, and easy access to both the Strip and offbeat Vegas gems like the Punk Rock Museum and Double Down Saloon, Bluegreen Vacations Club 36 was one of the most convenient hotel stays we’ve had in Vegas.

We stayed here from May 1–3 during our Vegas trip, covering punk culture and live music, and honestly? We’d absolutely stay here again and for 63k American Express Platinum points (aka $446.94), it wasn't bad at all.

Where It’s Located

Address: 372 E Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89169

One of the biggest perks of Club 36 is the location. It’s slightly removed from the chaos of the Las Vegas Strip while still being close enough to everything.

The hotel was:

-Convenient to the Punk Rock Museum
-A quick drive to Double Down Saloon
-Near restaurants, convenience stores, and essentials
-Close enough to the airport without feeling too airport-y

If you’re someone who likes Vegas but doesn’t necessarily want to be trapped in the middle of nonstop casino smoke and crowds 24/7, this location strikes a good balance.

It was so interesting seeing everyone wearing cowboy hats and boots as there was a West Regionals Rodeo competition along with country music concerts in town. It made for some interesting people watching.

Check-In Experience

Check-in was seamless and easy. There was a $100 deposit required upon arrival, but the process itself was smooth and straightforward.

The lobby had a relaxed vibe, and one unexpected highlight? A robotic self-serve, frozen yogurt machine inside the hotel lobby. Because apparently Vegas said:

“What if dessert was automated?”

The machine offered:

-Vanilla frozen yogurt
-Strawberry frozen yogurt
-Toppings, including sprinkles and peanuts

Tiny detail, but honestly a fun touch after a long travel day.

The hotel had a pool and hot tub but we didn't get to check it out as we were pressed for time.

Room Tour

We stayed on the third floor, and the room immediately felt more spacious than a standard Vegas hotel room.

Walking in, you’re greeted by a full kitchen setup, which instantly makes the space feel more apartment-style and practical for longer stays.

The room itself felt:

-Comfortable
-Clean
-Functional
-Ideal for travelers who don’t want to rely on expensive Strip dining for every meal

The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large, and overall the stay felt relaxing after long days exploring Vegas.

Kitchen Setup

The kitchen was honestly one of the best parts of the room.

Included amenities:

-Hot plate for cooking
-Pots and pans
-Full refrigerator
-Microwave
-Dishwasher
-Coffee machine
-Utensils and knives

This setup makes a huge difference if you’re:

-Staying multiple days
-Trying to save money on food
-Bringing leftovers back after Vegas adventures
-Traveling with friends or family

For content creators, concert-goers, or festival attendees, having a kitchen is underrated. Sometimes you just want late-night snacks and caffeine without fighting casino crowds.

In-Room Amenities

The in-room amenities made the stay feel extra convenient.

Highlights included:

-Full washer and dryer
-Laundry detergent provided
-Large bathroom
-Crabtree & Evelyn shampoo, body wash, and soap
-Comfortable bed
-Plenty of room to spread out

Having a washer/dryer inside the room is such a game changer in Vegas, especially after:

-concerts
-walking the Strip
-pool days
-sweaty museum adventures or surviving Vegas heat in general

Overall Thoughts

Bluegreen Vacations Club 36 ended up being a really solid Vegas stay for travelers who want:

-convenience
-extra space
-practical amenities and easy access to both tourist attractions and local culture spots

While there wasn’t room service, there were plenty of nearby stores and restaurants, so it never felt inconvenient.

I booked the stay using 63k AMEX points, which made the trip feel even more worth it.

Between the location, kitchen, washer/dryer, and comfortable room setup, this hotel worked perfectly for a Vegas trip centered around music, nightlife, and exploring beyond just casinos.

Would we stay here again?
Absolutely.

Vegas Fun Facts & Tips

Vegas Tip #1: Don’t underestimate off-Strip Vegas

Some of the best Vegas experiences happen away from the major casinos, especially if you’re into punk rock, dive bars, live music, or local culture.

Vegas Tip #2: The Punk Rock Museum is a must

The Punk Rock Museum is more than a museum — it’s basically a love letter to punk history with memorabilia, stories, exhibits, and guided tours from actual musicians and scene legends.

Vegas Tip #3: Bring comfortable shoes

Vegas distances are deceptive.
What looks “close” on a map can easily turn into:

-20-minute walks
-blister territory and immediate regret

Vegas Tip #4: Use points when possible

Vegas hotel pricing fluctuates HARD depending on:

-conventions
-concerts
-festivals
-sporting events

Using AMEX or travel points can seriously save money during peak weekends. Have you stayed here before?
