After a day of hiking around the dry landscape of Joshua Tree National Park, hunger kicked in and my two brothers and I went in search for Mediterranean food. We ended up at Yucca Kabob in Yucca Valley, CA and it did not disappoint.
Upon entering the pink building, we found a booth towards the back of the restaurant. The menu was huge and prices were decent. We started with falafel topped with tahini, tzatziki, and fresh out of the oven pita bread. Everything tasted delicious and we realized, we were hungrier than we thought.
Next, our three huge Gyro combination plates arrived, which consisted of gyro meat, hummus, salad, and rice. It was at this moment, when I knew I wasn’t going to finish this meal in one sitting. Leftovers would be carried back to our Airbnb.
Everything was flavorful, authentic and I’m still craving it now that I’m back in Marina Del Rey. This restaurant gets a 10/10 in my book.
